SUMMARY OF TOPICS

The following changes in requirements are being proposed:

1. For Preliminary Review Only: Revision of 19.2.2 to add requirements for a minimum separation gap.

2. For Preliminary Review Only: Proposed Ninth Edition of the Standard for Connectors and Switches for Use with Burglar-Alarm Systems, UL 634. The following revisions are being proposed for the Standard: (a) requirements in Sections 49 - 57 are proposed to be revised to apply to both High Security Switches (Level 1) and High Security Balanced Magnetic Switches, BMS (Level 2), (b) Sections 58 - 65 are proposed to be added for High Security Balanced Magnetic Switches, BMS (Level 2), (c) standard references are proposed to be updated, and (d) the scope paragraph addressing investigation of new and different features of products is proposed to be deleted.
