1 Scope

1.1 These requirements cover supplementary protectors with an automatic reset function rated at 250V AC and 60V DC or less, and 150 amperes or less, intended for use where manual intervention and branch circuit protection are either provided separately or are not required.

1.2 These requirements are intended to be used in conjunction with requirements in the Standard for Supplementary Protectors, UL 1077, except as modified or supplemented by the following requirements.

1.3 The term “auto-reset protector”, as used in this Outline, refers to an automatically resettable supplementary protector.
