Abstract
These requirements cover equipment and procedures for the detection o leakage from underground flammable
liquid storage tanks by qualitative characteristic assessment of leakage, changes in the volume in a qualitative
manner or the presence of product external to the tank. These requirements provide for the determination of the
capability of equipment and procedures for the measurement of actual or potential leakage within defined
statistical probabilities.These requirements do not cover quantitative volumetric leak detection equipment or
methods.
