2.1 For the installation, operation, and performance of indoor air quality sensors in buildings, use of this guidance and related sensors does not guarantee suitable IAQ. This requires the appropriate functioning of multiple aspects of building construction and systems. These aspects include the design of the enclosure (building envelope), the finishes, furnishings and equipment in the building, operation of the ventilation system and occupant activities, all of which can change over time. See Section 6 for additional programs that can complement IAQ management efforts.
